This computer was bought from a local store as a finished build configuration for less than 500 Euros. I didn’t intend to create Hackintosh so I didn’t care about components at first, but computer had a some kind of BIOS error and I couldn’t shutdown from ubuntu 12.04, than I tried Ubuntu 10.04 with the same result. After that I tried Windows 7 and computer was still unable to shutdown.
Then I read on some forum that fix is to put out and back BIOS battery. And voila computer was able to shutdown like normal. Interesting thing is that this happened on a new mainboard, with the default BIOS settings… so I asume it’s a some kind of Asus mainboard bug.
