Method: iAtkos L1 DVD
Files needed:
iAtkos L1 DVD ( download from http://iatkos.tk/ or search torrents )
Computer Requirements:
MOBO: Gigabyte GA EP41-UD3L
MOBO integrated Lan: RTL8111C/D(L)
MOBO integrated Audio: Realtek ALC888(works with alc8xx.kext and hdae888.kext)
Graphic card: NVIDIA 8400gs (check osx86 project for compatible graphic cards )
CPU: any core2duo or core2quad processor
SATA HDD,SATA DVD ROM, at least 2GB of memory, USB Mouse, USB Keyboard

Unplug any hard disk, except one you are using for OSX install… The same thing is with pci cards, remove any pci cards except your graphics card

Turn on your computer, press delete to load bios, choose “LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS” and than change your settings like on pics bellow (not all changes are essentiall, but it’s the way i prefer).

F10 to save and exit.

insert iAtkos L1 DVD and boot your machine with it.

When installation starts, select your language, press continue, and than accept terms.

Partition your HDD with disk utility in upper menu.

In disk utility first select HDD where to install Lion, than choose number of partitions, name, under format select MAC OS extended (journaled) and press options.Under options select GUID partition table.

After disk is formated, select your HDD where you want to install OSX Lion and press Customize

Next selection is for GA EP41-UD3L MOBO, so do the same thing if you own one, only thing different for you should be Graphic Enabler option, you can use it for certain graphic cards, if not sure leave it unchecked, and install your graphic card after installation.
after you made your selection, hit ok, select HDD where to install, and hit install
After cca 20min, installation should be finished, when reboot, eject your DVD and wait for Lion to boot.

System should start shortly, so now you can install graphic card. method depends on hardware, so check osx86 project for compatibile cards, or google it…
In my case NVIDIA 8400GS is already installed during installation process when I checked  Bootloader Options – Graphic Enabler. This actually insert this two lines in boot.plist file.

You can also use other method for NVIDIA 8400GS, if the first method not working, so first remove   <key>GraphicsEnabler... from boot plist if there, and than install this two kext packages - NVIDIA 8400GS 256MB KEXTS 10.7

To update to 10.7.2, use native Software Update.
Update will  broke sound drivers, so  browse iAtkos L1 DVD, go to System/Installation/Packages/sound/ and run alc8xx.pkg, and if needed hdae888.pkg. Restart your system.

Now you should be running fully operational Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2!

Known bugs:
- sleep wont work, so disable it in System Preferences – Energy Saver

First step:  Download this ATI kexts  to your computer.

Second step: Edit Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist file.
To do this first copy com.apple.Boot.plist to your desktop (now you are able to edit the file), open it with text editor and than add this string.

Save file and copy it from desktop back to Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and replace the old plist file.

This method will work on many cards, third step is only for ATI x1800 card.

Third step: Copy ATI1900Controller.kext and ATIRadeonX1000.kext  you downloaded earlier to System/Library/Extensions and replace the old files if exist.
Run Kext utility to fix permissions and reboot, if kernel panic, reboot and try again ( if not working ).
Now your card should be fully functional, QE/CI Enabled, with high resolution…

BIOS SETTINGS
On start, press delete  to load bios, choose “LOAD OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS” and than change your settings like on pics bellow (not all changes are essential, but it’s the way i prefer).

If you have dual core or quad core processor, you should change HPET Mode to “64-bit mode” so your system will be 64 bit, pentium d users should leave 32-bit Mode.

Press F10 to save and exit.

Insert iAtkos s3 ver2 10.6.3 DVD and wait, it will boot up installation of OSX, wait and be patient, don’t interupt…
In a while (5-10min) installation should start like on photo bellow, press arrow for next

when install OS X appears go to Disk utility to format your HDD
Select the number of partitions you want and name it the way you want, under “Options” select “guid partition table” and press Apply
Than close Disk Utility and continue installation

Read me and press arrow for nextChoose your HDD where you want to install OS X and press Customize

Select check boxes like on  photos bellow…
- choose Chameleon v2 RC5 as a boot loader
- select 32 bit boot (again this is for pentium d users, if u want 64 bit system and have core  duo or core quad processor do not select 32 bit boot  )

- under Modified kernel use qoopz 10.3.0 (once again this is for pentium d users, if u want 64 bit system and have core  duo or core quad processor do not select qoopz kernel, in fact do not select modified kernel at all, and default vanilla kernel will be installed )


- for sound driver select Voodoo HDA, and deselect Apple HDA

- under CPU Power Management select voodoo power and voodoo P-stateNow press ok, and when window is closed, press install and wait while installation finish, when  restarted remove your DVD and wait for System to boot…
System should start now, follow the first boot setup of OS X, enter your name, keyboard bla bla … and that’s it. System should be now installed and fully functional, except your graphic card, (depends on what graphic do you have).

Graphic card, in my case NVIDIA 7200GS 256MB works after adding this lines to Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist file (copy com.apple.Boot.plist to your desktop, so you will be able to edit it)

Before install copy IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext from System/Library/Extensions to your desktop. Now you can install update, do not restart after installation finished, first copy IOUSBFamily.kext and IOUSBMassStorageClass.kext from desktop back to System/Library/Extensions and run Kext Utility (download from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=140647) to fix permissions. Now you can restart it. Your System is now updated to 10.6.7.

INSTALLATION:

Bios Settings (V3.00):
Turn on your comp, press F2 to load BIOS, and set it up like on photos below …

Press F10 to save changes, and exit.

At boot press F12 to select your boot device, Insert your iAtkos s3 DVD in your DVD rom and select DVD Rom as boot device.

Now wait for installation screen, choose your language, agree to the terms, and select disk utility under utilities in upper menu. Format your hard drive like GUID Partition Table (your data will be lost).

Close Disk utility, and when installation screen appear, select your HDD and press Customize. Than check next options:

Proceed with install, and wait until installation complete.
After Install Succeeded, reboot, and wait for system to boot. This may take a while at first boot.

System should start now, enter your keyboard layout, location and registration and you are ready for the next step.

Unzip Toshiba_M100-165_Extra_Files.zip u downloaded earlier, copy radeonHD.kext, ATIRadeonX1000.kext and IONetworkingFamily.kext to System/Library/Extensions.
Run Kext Utility application from extra pack, to clear kext catche and rapair permisions. ignore errors if any.
Run Terminal from Utilities and enter “sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0″ without quotes, press enter, type your password and hit enter again.
Run DSDT patcher from Toshiba_M100-165_Extra_Files, and when file dsdt.aml is created, copy it to your hdd root. (u can also try to use existing dsdt.aml from Extra_Files instead of patching new one)

Now reboot, and cross your fingers
System should start now with 1280×800 resolution with QE/CI enabled. Go to System Preferences and select Network. Your new network should appear now, hit apply and your network is up and running.
In System Preferences choose Energy Saver and disable it cause sleep will cause u trouble…
Im still not able to run wireless card, but its easy fix with numerous OSX compatible USB  wireless cards u can buy cheap…

I haven’t tested voodoo battery drivers because my battery is dead, but i think it should work as well .

Update to 10.6.6 combo  ( http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL1349/en_US/MacOSXUpdCombo10.6.6.dmg ) causes problems with cursor, so after update, again, copy radeonHD.kext and ATIRadeonX1000.kext to System/Library/Extensions.
Run Kext Utility, restart.

Enjoy your new HACKIN-TOSHIBA

Known bugs:
- intel pro/wireless 3945ABG drivers not working (anyway u should check development of drivers at http://projectcamphor.mercurysquad.com/downloads/ or  http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/ and wait until somebody makes it work ). Alternative is to buy USB wireless or another mini pci wireless card to replace your intel pro/wireless 3945ABG.
- intel pro/100 vm every now and than fails to connect to network (just reboot and it works, it happens to me in one of 20 boots).
- sleep wont work (u should disable sleep in System Preferences / Energy Saver)
- system halts on start every now and than  (i think its graphic card kexts) but just restart and everything should work ok again

When Install Mac OS X appear, click “disk utillity” from upper menu

Than choose your HDD, click on “Partition”, select one partition, name it the way u want and click on “Options”

Select “Guid Partition Table” and click OK

Now click Apply, and “Partition” and after a minute when it’s finished close “Disk Utillity”

Now you are back to Install Mac OS X screen, click “Continue” and “Agree”

Than select “Customize” and deselect printer drivers to free up more space and click “OK”




Now click on your HDD where You want OS X to install and press “Install”

The installaton will now start, and it will last for about 20 min(depends on your comp. specs).

And finally, if everything went ok, you are finished with install succeeded message

Download GA EP41-UD3L EXTRA PACK and burn “pirate_efi_x_v0.3.iso” to CD (that’s your BOOT CD)

Wait for cd to boot, and when booted (OSx86.or.id logo will appear), replace Pirate efi cd with your Retail OS X DVD.

Wait a few seconds and press F5. than choose to install OS X and press enter.

Now, installation starts, wait a few minutes and installation screen will appear.
Choose your language and follow installation…
For OS X newbies, Click here to found out how to install OS X, and how to partition your HDD Drive. Important thing is to select “Guid partition table”…

After Install Succeeded, reboot, replace your OS X retail DVD with Pirate EFI CD and boot from CD again

When booted, select your HDD where you installed your OSX, and press enter.

System should start now with cool graphics, enter your keyboard layout, location and registration and you are ready for the next step.

Unzip GA EP41-UD3L Extra Pack you downloaded earlier, and install Chameleon v2.0-RC5 r700.pkg boot loader, choose chameleon pref panel as well, so it will be easier for u to manage boot from Preferences Panel.

Copy Extra folder from GA EP41-UD3L Extra Pack to OS X root folder.

Put Kext Utility from GA EP41-UD3L Extra Pack on your desktop, double click it to repair permissions to Extra folder kexts.

Restart your system, now u should be able to boot from your HDD.

Install your graphics card (check on http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page)…
In my case (NVIDIA 8400GS 256MB) I needed to add this lines to Extra/com.apple.Boot.plist file (copy com.apple.Boot.plist to your desktop, so you will be able to edit it)

Install RTL8111C/D(L)  (double click RealtekRTL81xx-0_0_67%2B.pkg  from GA EP41-UD3L Extra Pack), and restart.

Install Realtek ALC888 (double click VoodooHDA-2.7.2.pkg from GA EP41-UD3L Extra Pack), and restart.

Now your system should be up and ready for use.
You can update it via Software update to 10.6.6
